THE BASICS.
A Solid Foundation: Primary School Engagement
Primary School Engagement supports primary school children in their learning and personal development with professional specialists and needs-oriented projects.
The goal is to instill a sense of belonging and efficacy in children from a young age. Primary School Engagement provides them with a space for open discussions about their challenges and various opportunities for personal development.
Since challenges rarely end at the schoolyard boundary, our concepts also include interfaces with extracurricular institutions and close, regular exchanges with school management and teachers.
Integration for Adolescents
Parallel to the integration projects for primary schools, aoty develops tailored action packages for secondary schools.
The focus is also on imparting a long-term sense of belonging to adolescents and identifying and developing their strengths.
Within the integration projects, adolescents can address all questions, problems, crises, and conflicts and discuss and develop solutions together with multiprofessional teams. The staff are there to support them in career orientation, helping them explore work fields, identify job-relevant competencies, and pursue clear perspectives.
Integration groups include regular experiential offerings such as sports groups, creative groups, class support, or communication workshops.
Additionally, our educational specialists offer, in consultation with schools, workshops on:
Gender work,
Conflict management,
Intercultural learning,
Children/youth rights
and Parent counseling.
Integration project staff also support students and their family members in confidential individual sessions with the challenges of daily life. If needed, they facilitate referrals to further support systems.
Dreamcatcher
“Dreamcatcher” has been designed as a special place to dream, relax, and let go—an escape from everyday life. This is made possible for primary school children through creative activities such as painting, crafting, singing, or reading, allowing them to freely express themselves.
“BOOST” Your Future
The goal of the “BOOST” support program is to assist students with noticeable learning and performance gaps in transitioning to dual vocational training.
Through practical and competency-oriented workshops, adolescents are actively prepared for their role in professional life. Continuous strengthening of self-esteem through positive school experiences is a crucial aspect of the “BOOST” support philosophy.
School Support
The program continuously supports students in reducing or even eliminating individual learning deficits and difficulties in social behavior. Adolescents showing signs of emotional distress are proactively involved. The aim is to enable smooth participation in the school system.
The duration of support depends on the individual needs of each student. Our educational specialists act as mediators between teachers, classmates, and the supported young individuals. In addition, our specialists are involved in learning processes, providing assistance in strengthening self-esteem, resilience, and self-regulation.
The goal of “School Support” is to convey long-term learning of academic and social content and a solution-oriented approach to adolescents.
